Part of being a farmer is being a steward of the land.  Farming is not just about the produce- it is also about the soil, pollination, wildlife, all that is within the environment. The aspects that envelope a farm can determine its overall success.

Bees are often taken for granted when it comes to agriculture. With our first hive we hope to spread the message that bees are a critical part of all agricultural practices. With the decline in native bees populations, domestic bees are key in helping to pollinate our crops.

 * The plants that are listed are generally deer resistant. Many factors can alter the interest a deer may have in a particular plant variety. For instance, if the deer are having a difficult time finding food, they will sometimes eat the buds of an Iris, which appears on this deer resistant list. While this list is a guide, it is not a guarantee that a deer will not nibble or step on a plant.
